Passing the Series 79 exam allows you to act as an investment banking representative. As a registered agent Series 79 licensed individuals may engage in the following activities. Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A). Private and Public offerings of debt and equity securities. Financial Restructuring and reorganization. Spin offs, split offs, asset sales and tender offers.

The testing fee for the series 79 exam is $300.
The Series 79 exam is administered by FINRA and may be taken at any Prometric testing center. Prometric has test centers throughout the world. The Series 79 exam may be taken any day the center is open.

The series 63 allows bankers to transact business with individuals.
